In it, you play as Mimi, a 32-year-old young woman who has just lost her grandmother, with whom her father has cut ties for an unknown reason. After a series of adventures, the young woman finds herself in the family home in the south of France. The opportunity for the developers to offer a touching story with a rather unique artistic touch.

And this day we can learn that the release date of Dordogne is fixed at June 13, 2023 on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. Entirely hand-painted in watercolor style, the game offers many settings and environments that are a bit of an ode to the south of France and the Dordogne region. It’s soothing, it’s shimmering, and you can almost hear the cicadas sing at the sight of a screenshot. In addition to that, Dordogne chooses to start with a simple framework with events that can affect us all: childhood memories and family. We are far from the invasion of aliens or the infestation of zombies on a global scale. Besides, the title does not contain any violence. It can be savored like a good picnic under a shady tree in the middle of summer.

Dordogne is a game of great beauty and great poetry and truly one of a kind. A real Video game UFO which does not revolutionize anything but which nevertheless remains quite unforgettable. A very gentle and particularly touching experience that gives you only one desire: to get lost in a winding path in Périgord while listening to the cicadas sing. The game is still scheduled for 2023 without further details on PC and Nintendo Switch.
