Because it was probably not buckled properly, a baby fell out of a moving car in Dortmund. The police are investigating the father.
Toddler with guardian angel: A one-year-old girl is in on Wednesday evening, April 20 Dortmund fell out of a moving car and was only slightly injured.
The girl managed to open the door at around 11:15 p.m. in the An den Teichen/Burgholzstrasse/Osterfeldstrasse roundabout while driving, the police said. It then fell out of the car along with the seat, which stopped a few meters away, the police reported on Friday.

Because police officers were on duty on Burgholzstrasse/Osterfeldstrasse, they were quickly on site. The car stopped at the Nordfriedhof bus stop with the door open and the occupants ran in the direction of the roundabout. The officers found the toddler there, the police said.
The father and another person who was in the car on Thursday evening immediately ran to the child. An ambulance took it to a hospital as a precaution. The father is now being investigated for negligent bodily harm.
According to previous investigations, the 26-year-old father had not properly secured his daughter: neither was the baby seat attached to the back seat, nor was the child strapped in, said a police spokeswoman on Friday. The child safety lock on the car door had apparently not been activated either.
