A drunk motorist entered the wrong way in the tunnel of Avenue of the Liberator and ran over a motorcyclist who was working as a delivery man. The event occurred around 5:30 in the morning in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Belgrano. After the impact, the motorcycle driver suffered serious injuries and had to be transferred to the Fernández Hospital.
It all happened when the driver of the vehicle, a Volkswagen Goal Trend gray color patent LCR 932, accessed the corridor located on Avenida Del Libertador and Zabala streets through the opposite hand. After circulating about 30 meters, towards the province of Buenos Aires, she rammed a delivery man, approximately 26 years old, head-on.
Due to the crash, the motorcyclist was assisted by SAME personnel and had to be transferred with polytrauma to the Fernández Hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
Meanwhile, the motorist, identified as Francisco Oberti39, suffered no major injuries and was delayed by officers from the 14 C Neighborhood Police Station of the City Police, who performed a breathalyzer test on him, which indicated that he had a level of 1.06 g/l of alcohol in blood.
At the moment, there is only one lane enabled to cross the bridge.

At the beginning of the year, a similar traffic accident occurred in the tunnel on Avenida Del Libertador, in which a young 26 years old died after being hit while riding his motorcycle.
The accident took place around 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, when Thomas Emery He was traveling aboard his blue Kawasaki 400. At that moment, according to witnesses, a woman who was driving a car -also blue- collided with the motorcycle and then escaped from the place.
When the police arrived, Emery’s backpack was opened and his relatives were contacted. Immediately, his friends and relatives launched a campaign through social networks to find people who witnessed the event and to identify the driver who had allegedly fled after crashing.
After a few days, police personnel identified and notified the suspect in a house in the Buenos Aires town of Burzaco, where his vehicle was seized. The security force reported that they also was charged with the crime of simple homicide. The disposition was ordered by the National Criminal and Correctional Court Number 7, in charge of Paula González.
In this way, the woman appeared before the Justice and explained that she did not hit the young man and that she is actually another witness to the event.
Now, with the two versions, Judge González hopes that the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office of the Saavedra-Núñez district in charge of Jose Maria Campagnoli, can clarify the mechanics of the fact. Thus, the investigators are looking for a witness who witnessed the entire sequence that occurred so that he can provide information about what happened.
