Carmen and Robert Geiss go under the knife together. On Instagram, the two let their fans participate in their eye surgery.

Carmen (57) and Robert Geiss (59) apparently want to have a clear view again. Both have undergone eye surgery – with the aim of no longer having to wear contact lenses. On Instagram, the two let their fans participate in the visit to the ophthalmologist.

Carmen Geiss: “I just can’t do it anymore”

In a video, Carmen Geiss explains that she is having lenses transplanted. She has now “been wearing contact lenses for so long and I just can’t do it anymore”. She’s a little scared, but her ophthalmologist is a “great friend” and even picked her up, Carmen continues. Her husband Robert is “of course” there too and also wants to have the operation.

After “a few examinations”, the procedure was carried out on both, initially only on one eye. A photo then shows the two with a large, white bandage on their left eye. But everything seems to have gone smoothly, the couple is sitting beaming on a bench in the waiting room.

“So, the first eye is made, tomorrow we will continue on the ladder of success,” writes Carmen Geiss and also humorously points out: “If I make mistakes now, it’s not my fault.”

Robert Geiss – enterprising businessman with a flair

No, Robert Geiss was not born rich, but earned his first millions alongside his brother Michael Geiss: the two founded the sportswear brand Uncle Sam in 1986, which had bodybuilders in particular as its target group. In 1995, a year after his marriage to Carmen Geiss, the entrepreneur sold the company and moved to Monaco. The TV series “The Geissens – A Terribly Glamorous Family” has been in production there and elsewhere in the world since 2011, for which he is said to charge around 2.5 million euros per season. In addition, the 58-year-old is now back in the fashion business with his Roberto Geissini brand and is said to be making some extra money with real estate transactions.

Carmen and Robert Geiss have their eyes operated: their fans wish them a speedy recovery

In the comments there are already a lot of wishes for recovery from fans of the Geissens: “Good and quick recovery”, for example, wishes a user. “I hope it didn’t hurt that much. All the best,” wrote another person. “Good healing and toi, toi, toi for the second eye,” says another fan.

Carmen and Robert Geiss are known, among other things, for their documentary series “The Geissens – A Terribly Glamorous Family”, which has been running on RTLzwei since 2011. Season 21 is currently on TV. The family around mother Carmen, father Robert and the two daughters Shania (18) and Davina (19) are accompanied in their everyday life in Monaco, St. Tropez and on trips.

Meanwhile, daughter Shania has a completely different problem: She takes driving lessons in her sister Davina’s car. However, the youngest daughter of Robert and Carmen Geiss crashes the expensive car. Sources used: Instagram.com
