Will this DSDS candidate sing at Pietro’s wedding soon?
For Nico Grund (29) that would at least be nothing new. The “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” candidate even sings at seven weddings on some weekends!
Well-trained, with a guitar in his luggage and a bright smile, RTL introduces the new DSDS candidate Nico, who tried his luck in front of the jury on Saturday. The singer is no stranger, in 2021 he took part in “The Voice of Germany”.

Since then, Nico has worked even more on his music and thus even has two main jobs: In his free time he performs as a wedding singer and is doing his doctorate in physics at the same time. But he doesn’t want to give up either of his two passions.
“No matter what I would throw away, I would not be really happy,” says Nico in the BILD interview.
He describes himself as a “workaholic”: “It may also be that I have to work through the night for various music projects,” Nico told BILD. Next: “There were times when I had seven weddings in one weekend.”
But would the wedding singer also sing at Pietro’s or Dieter’s wedding? The two musicians are on the DSDS jury. A clear answer: “Yes!” Because: “You get the mood of the best day of the bride and groom’s life, that’s really great,” says the man from Cologne.

Nico appears in front of the jury with a song he wrote himself for his girlfriend. But it was not pleasant for him: “At the beginning I had the feeling that the Jury quite distant was. I was very nervous because the jury looked at me so neutrally.”
He also says to BILD: “It does a lot to me when people are so neutral towards me. Then I ask myself, ‘Am I doing this right’?”

From Nico’s singing is Peter Definitely enthusiastic: “Well, I think you’re great, really. The way you stand there, you’re personable. Awesome, I’m celebrating.”
The physicist was also able to win over Leony (25) and Dieter Bohlen (68) and went home happy with three “yes”.
And who knows. Maybe book Pietro Lombardi (30) Nico even soon for the big wedding with his fiancé Laura.
