This week Electronic Arts announced that both Apex Legends Mobile and Battlefield Mobile have been cancelled, but those weren’t the only projects to meet this fate. According to new reports, a single player game called Titanfall Legends would have been canceled by EA.

A few hours after Electronic Arts announced the end of Apex Legends Mobile and Battlefield Mobile, reporter Jason Schreier revealed that Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have “quietly” canceled a game in the Titanfall/Apex Legends universe. Said game would have been called Titanfall Legends and would have had a single player focus.

Since the release of the first Titanfall it has been considered one of the best FPS of its generation and Titanfall 2 was even better received so gamers have been asking for a sequel ever since. Since Apex Legends covers the multiplayer aspect, Titanfall Legends would have been a single player proposition, but sadly it would have been cancelled.

As reported by Jason, three people familiar with the project informed him that it had been canceled and this would have been set in the universe of Titanfall and Apex Legends. Electronic Arts had around 50 employees assigned to the project and it seems they will try to find positions for them on other projects, although those who cannot find a new position will unfortunately be fired.

In addition to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Respawn Entertainment is known to be working on at least 2 other Star Wars games, one of which would be a multiplayer FPS. Since the supposed Titanfall Legends would have been cancelled, it only remains to wait until Respawn Entertainment or Electronic Arts are ready to show the next project set in this same universe.
