Munich/ Erding – The green transition to heating makes you shudder: cabaret artist Monika Gruber (51) railed against the “economic destroyer Habeck” in a video with a sharp tongue.
On Facebook and Instagram, the 51-year-old shared the film with the title “We’ve obviously gone insane”. Almost 100,000 users have already viewed the film in which Gruber grumbles about the Greens’ plans.
“Economic destroyer Habeck is now also banning pellet and wood chip heating systems, which were subsidized more than a year ago,” says Gruber in her video. And then she goes one step further: “If we continue to keep our mouths shut and only express our opinions behind closed doors. Then I think we are all lost.”
Gruber’s appeal to the citizens: “Fight back!” And it seems to have been successful: a demonstration against the heating madness has been registered in Erding.

The basis for the demo was the following message circulating on social media: “On Saturday, June 10th, 2023, Monika Gruber is organizing a demo in Erding at 10 a.m. at Schrannenplatz. I would ask you to mobilize all people from your side who are going along against this Germany destruction madness! (Registered) demo against the insane politics of the Greens!”
That’s not entirely true: Gruber has already denied that she initiated the event. It is also unclear whether she will stop by that day. But the fact is: the demonstration is registered in Erding.
Green pissed about video
Meanwhile, the Erdinger district association of the Greens is angry about the video, criticizing Gruber’s “mood making”. Annett Burgarth writes in a statement District spokeswoman: “Anyone who still speaks of “ideology” when it comes to climate protection and the associated urgently needed measures and thus denies man-made climate change clearly shows that he is not concerned with facts.”
It goes on to say: “The GEG (Building Energy Act) creates a hysterical mood, creates fear and unsettles the citizens with false information. That harms our democracy.”
