The second derby of the Ländlerivalen season also goes to EHC Lustenau. The forests made a clear false start with a 0:3 and had to admit defeat after catching up with 2:4.

A game that more than deserves the name derby. In front of a great backdrop with over 2000 spectators, the second duel of the season took place between EC Bregenzerwald and EHC Lustenau. Chris D’Alvise got far too much space in front of Beck and didn’t need to be asked twice to make it 0-1. Roberts Lipsbergs had the best chance of the home side in the first third, but his solo effort only hit the side netting. (17th)

After clearing the ice, the woods were in control, but missed three power plays. Lukas Haberl did better on the other side, his flick hitting behind Felix Beck over the short corner. (30.) Just two pointer turns later, EHC striker Philipp Pöschmann followed up against his ex-teammates. The fantastic derby mood threatened to collapse if it hadn’t been for Roberts Lipsbergs. The Latvian didn’t even let Krammer’s stick hit him and overcame Hanses in passing.

Hanses only let himself be defeated by Marlon Tschofen’s long-range shot in the 53rd minute. Instead of the hoped-for equalizer, Hayes gave the home side a cold shower with the empty net hit.
