The Federal Consumer Attorney’s Office (prophecy) announced that an alert was issued against four models of air fryerssince it was found that these devices can generate “thermal events” that put the population at risk because they could suffer a burn.
Profeco issued said alert through the Rapid Alert Network platform, where he warned about Cosori brand air fryers. It should be noted that the agency indicated that these devices will be withdrawn from the market and replaced by other new models.

What air fryers were failed by Profeco?
The models of air fryers that will be withdrawn from the market by instruction of Profeco are the following:
- Cosori model CP158 / 17 thousand 934 units imported between 2018 and 2022
- Cosori model CS158 / 650 units imported between 2018 and 2022
- Cosori model CP137 / 520 units imported between 2018 and 2022
- Cosori model CP258 / 200 units imported between 2018 and 2022
It should be noted that Profeco specified that this campaign began on February 23, with an indeterminate validity, and involves 19,304 air fryers of four different models, of which 17,978 were sold and 1,326 were in stock.
