In all likelihood, Kristijan Jakic will not play again for Eintracht Frankfurt this season. This is reported by the ‘Bild’ with a view to the tendon injury of the 25-year-old midfielder. Coach Oliver Glasner can be quoted from the report: “He had had problems with his Achilles tendon for a long time. That’s why he had to sit out more often. Calf, Achilles tendon, tendon transition – that’s where it hit him. With muscles and tendons, it can sometimes take a week or two longer.”
This season could be over for Jakic after a total of 36 appearances. Meanwhile, Glasner is still hoping for a speedy recovery: “We’ll give everything so that he can play for us again. But it’s not set in stone.” The Croatian was signed by SGE last summer after a one-year loan deal for 3.5 million euros.
