Elden Ring should soon offer a huge surprise to its fans. A very big DLC is expected and things seem to be confirmed little by little.
At the end of last year, shortly before the Game Awards 2022, rumors began to point the tip of their noses and implied that a first DLC would see the light of day soon. Fans were also expecting an announcement at Geoff Keighley’s event, but their hopes were quickly swept out of hand.
During the evening, while the game was praised and a major PvP update with new, never-before-seen areas went live a few hours before, no announcements were made regarding a possible expansion. On the other hand, when Elden Ring was crowned Best Game of the Year 2022, the game director split a few words which immediately revived the rumors. Elden Ring has not said its last word.
A big DLC for Elden Ring would be in development
Today, a renowned insider, Lance Mcdonald, notably known for several leaks concerning FromSoftware games and its ability to reveal the biggest secrets of the games it touches, returned to the charge by claiming that a “huge DLC” was in development. The insider, however, did not give more information during his Discord conversation. If he affirms several times that this DLC will be particularly “big”, he also admits to having no details concerning the mechanics of gameplay or the content itself.
This is once again very thin, but it could however confirm that a DLC for Elden Ring would indeed be in preparation. The latest rumors indeed suggested that this DLC could be important and that it could bring several bosses and should even draw more inspiration from Japanese culture.
But for the time being, apart from a few information here and there and a ton of theories, we have nothing concrete to sink our teeth into. Let’s be patient.
