You are currently viewing Apple Vision Pro: FaceTime persona all wear the same glasses

A special feature of the upcoming Apple Vision Pro concerns FaceTime.

When users make a FaceTime call with the headset, their faces are logically covered by the screen glasses. That’s why the internal cameras scan your face and transmit a virtual version to the other side.

Zeiss lenses correct visual defects

In order for everything to fit into the headset, users with glasses have to take them off before using them. Special lenses from Zeiss then correct your field of vision – but of course you don’t have real glasses on during the call.

Limited number of glasses models

As can now be seen from the code in visionOS, this can be replaced digitally. However, users currently have to choose from a limited selection of glasses, which does not necessarily always correspond to their own.

There are probably some shapes for glasses as well as variations of frames. A tweet from user “M1” on X gives a first impression – but there are no official images from the visionOS beta yet. The rumor still needs to be finally confirmed.
