It’s a bit of a paradox: Twitter once banned Donald Trump from the platform, after which the ex-president founded his own social network. Its name: Truth Social. Some time later, Trump is unblocked again on Twitter, but has no great desire to go back there. Musk, on the other hand, is currying favor with Trump, and the two at least share a hatred of everything that is “woke”.
Musk has been complaining about alleged woke artificial intelligence for a while and wants to develop his own AI. He wants to “create a third option,” he said in an interview FoxNews and is considering calling his own AI TruthGPT. According to the Twitter boss, his goal is to create a “maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe”. He hopes his AI “does more good than harm”.
Musk AI would start late
Musk admitted that he was at a significant time disadvantage since Google and Microsoft have already released their AI chatbots. However, Musk’s current statements should also be viewed with some caution. Because, as always, it is not clear how serious the SpaceX and Tesla boss actually means. It is also not clear whether Musk can actually pull this off – despite the investments and appointments that have already been made. His driving force has been known for a long time, however, because the 51-year-old has expressed his concern several times in the past that AIs are developing in the wrong direction. Most recently, he also criticized OpenAI, which he co-founded, for its cooperation with Microsoft.
