Enjoy the beaches of our city

Now that we are under the warm summer temperatures, we invite you to enjoy the beaches of our city.

One of the most popular beach resorts is Coney Island Beach in Brooklyn, which offers a multitude of activities throughout the summer and even in the off-season.

You can enjoy the famous boardwalk with your family and friends, in a fun environment for the whole family.

You can also use the beach volleyball, handball and basketball courts.

And very close by you have the New York Aquarium, the Abe Stark ice skating rink or the MCU Park baseball stadium, where you can watch the Brooklyn Cyclones play, which belongs to the minor leagues of the New York Mets.

If you are driving, you can use the metered parking lots, but you can also use public transportation using the D, F, N and Q trains to the Coney Island and Stillwell Avenue stop.

Or the F and Q trains to West 8th Street at the New York Aquarium.

You can also use buses, and for more information we invite you to visit the NEWMTA.INFO page.

Right next to Coney Island Beach is Brighton Beach, with many attractions, and a spectacular boardwalk that is ideal for walking especially during the beautiful sunsets that beautify the area.

Coney Island and Brighton Beach offer wheelchairs for disabled people in specific locations, with special paths designed for those devices.

And finally, remember that the beaches are governed by rules that we must all comply with.

Glass bottles, smoking and drinking alcohol are prohibited.

Dogs off leashes, loud music, barbecues and open fires, and fishing only in designated areas are among other restrictions.

Take advantage of the summer months and visit the beaches of Coney Island and Brighton Beach, in Your Free Time.
