“As, thank God, everything ended well, we thought it was time to laugh at the situation,” Santos wrote in TikTok next to prank video.

The renowned announcer and television presenter called Lenier and informed him that he was the “guy who stole the truck,” to which the singer responded: “You know the car broke down.”

“I left him there alone, that wasn’t me, I know how to drive well,” said Santos, who added that he stole the truck because “he felt like it.”

Enraged, Mesa launched into a string of expletives and invited him to meet in person and “resolve the situation, and not call him for this stupidity.”

Santos responded: “You sound like the Cuban Rambo”.

The joke reached its climax when he told him that the real reason for the call was to recover a chain with a medallion of Saint Lazarus supposedly forgotten in the stolen car.

“If I catch you, I’ll break your life so you know,” the enraged singer replied.

Santos, once again, took the joke to a higher level: “Go see if I left my cigarettes there (in the truck).”

“Are you Cuban, American, what country are you from?” responded Lenier, who upon learning that the alleged thief was from the Caribbean nation, very upset, told him: “You are a shameless guy. “They should turn you to Cuba, that’s why they are the way they are.”

The Cuban-American presenter wanted to test Mesa’s patience and asked him: “In the car you had a paste to brighten your teeth, is that what you use to make your teeth white?”

However, the laughter was already too much and he confessed that he was Enrique Santos.

Lenier quickly recognized him and between laughs told him: “You took me for that.”

Regarding that experience and the criteria expressed by the followers, The Cuban singer denied any link with the regime in an interview with broadcaster Santos.

“You think that a person who was like me, who has defended Cuba a lot here, who went to Washington, who has a song on YouTube, which I have never removed yet, attacking the Cuban government; that I have links with the Cuban government,” Lenier rebuked.
