London.- In a recent interview on 60 Minutes, Prince Harry said that he was probably a bit of a racist before he met his current wife, Meghan Markle, who has African-American roots.

The Duke of Sussex criticized the British media for its xenophobia and how racist they have been all these years with Meghan. However, on reflection, he said that he too may have harbored racist feelings before meeting and falling in love with the actress.

“I had no idea the British press was so bigoted. Hell, I was probably bigoted and racist before my relationship with Meghan,” Enrique told host Anderson Cooper.

The Prince went on to say that it was very difficult for other women in the royal family to assert their voice, but adding race to the equation was something else entirely. He added that he had no idea that the British media would react to Meghan the way they did.

As for how Meghan changed it, she said: “Put it this way. I didn’t see what I see now.”

Harry has made various accusations of racism against other royals in the past. In his interview with Oprah Winfrey, he pointed out that an older member of his family was concerned about the skin color of Archie, his son with Meghan, although he did not say who specifically.

This interview is part of the promotion of his memoir, “Spare”, in which he includes a long list of grievances against the royals, including violence at the hands of his brother.

He said goodbye to his grandmother

In an excerpt from his memoirs, Prince Harry shares what were his last words dedicated to his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, whom he visited at Balmoral Castle on the day of her death.

According to Page Six, Harry told his late grandmother in an on-air whisper that he “hoped she would be happy” and be with his grandfather, Prince Philip, who had died a year earlier at the age of 99.

He also writes in the highly anticipated book, which will go on sale this January 10, that he told her that he “admired her for having fulfilled her duties until the end.”

The Duke of Sussex arrived in Balmoral just hours after the Queen died at the age of 96, on September 8, 2022. While he was unable to formally say goodbye to his grandmother before her death, he was on hand to attend the period 10 days of mourning with his wife, Meghan Markle.
