“Verão no parque” is the name of the initiative that will start on June 2nd and will present proposals and experiences for the whole family, in a green space that, as of today, has 25 picnic tables installed along its “avenue” main.
The “Summer in the Park” program will focus on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
“There will be no shortage of concerts, with special emphasis on artists and bands from the county and region, but also theater plays for the whole family, street entertainment, shows of traditions, musical competitions, among other experiences and activities, always in an intergenerational logic”, advanced to autarchy.
The Boticas Market will also be installed in the park, which will offer agri-food, handicraft, fashion and decoration products.
According to the municipality, the Mercado de Boticas “will have about 10 traditional boticas, whose occupation will be rotating (weekly), allowing to publicize different projects and local and regional businesses, thus stimulating small trade”.
The Aquilino Ribeiro Park will also function as “a small open-air restaurant, offering various gastronomic proposals, in the traditional wooden houses, which will occupy the central ‘avenue'”, he said, adding that “‘street food’ will also be present , guaranteeing all visitors the concept of grab-and-go food”.
This green space in the center of the city will also host other events and projects on the cultural agenda of Viseu, such as the Festa das Freguesias and the Jazz Festival of Viseu.
