With that humility, Azucena has won the affection of her more than 766 thousand followers in TikTok, where not only counts day by day in the field, but also creates tutorials for makeup, hairstyles, food recipes and plays the occasional prank on her husband and daughters.
“I only installed Tiktok in 2022. Like everyone, I posted videos to have fun and make jokes. Until one day I uploaded a video dancing with my guinea pig and it reached 7 million views. Then I made videos preparing pachamanca and ponche, and I realized that people liked that too. There I said ‘ok, if we are going to do this, then we have to do it well’”, says Azucena, who has also worked for several years in beauty salons.
As part of her routine, she shares with her followers from when she goes to collect the eggs from the chickens to when it is her turn to cut alfalfa to feed her guinea pigs. Of course, she also shares cooking tricks (which are so often requested) to make a good spicy guinea pig, lechón a la leña and a variety of desserts.
