Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is only continuing his election campaign to a limited extent for the third day in a row after falling ill. The 69-year-old decided not to appear in person at the inauguration of a bridge in Adana, southern Turkey, as his program revealed.

But he should connect via video from his office. At inaugurations and openings, Erdogan usually promotes his re-election on May 14. The 69-year-old fell ill on Tuesday evening, a good two weeks before the parliamentary and presidential elections. He first had to interrupt a television interview because of stomach problems, after which he took a break from campaigning.
