In an official statement, EsSalud reported on the causes of death of protester during protests this Saturday, January 28. According to the document, the 55-year-old adult was admitted with polycontusion and severe head injury.

“Our staff did everything possible to save his life, our deepest condolences to the family”, they added in the document.
Likewise, they announced that the president of EsSalud, Dr. Arturo Orellana, went to the Grau Hospital where he supervised the care of the injured.
In said health center, as reported, “13 injured patients were registered up to that moment, of which 11 were discharged.”
More protesters in danger
Finally, they reported that a patient hospitalized for head trauma with a reserved prognosis is at the Almenara Hospital.
“The Almenara Benefit Network ratifies its commitment to provide timely care to patients who come to the emergency service due to social conflicts”, they determined.
