Everspace 2 releases 1.0 in PC Game Pass on April 6 and this summer on Xbox Series X|S

That’s it. After 5 years of development, an early access release and no less than six major updates, the Rockfish Games teams will finally release the space RPG Everspace 2 completely. Suffice to say that the arrival of this 1.0 is accompanied by many new features and that many players will be able to get their hands on the title in 2023.

Released on April 6th day one in the PC Game Pass and this summer in the Xbox Game Pass

The big news of this 1.0 is certainly the arrival of the game on PC via Steam, GOG and the PC Game Pass from April 6, but that’s not all since Everspace 2 will also be released on Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5 over the summer. Console players will therefore also be able to access it in the Xbox Game Pass.

The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions have been canceled to focus on compatibility with the Steam Deck and the physical version of the game in particular. Michael Schade, CEO of Rockfish, had this to say about it:

“Our vision for Everspace 2 took us beyond the limitations of previous console generations. Our team spent a lot of time trying to create a fan-satisfying experience on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but downgrading Everspace 2 for those platforms doesn’t achieve the level of quality we want to deliver. We’ll be keeping in touch with backers who obtained console copies through our Kickstarter campaign to ensure their continued interest in the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game. We’ll also offer a refund in the event that they do not have access to these consoles. »

In terms of gameplay and novelties, this version 1.0 will integrate new enemies, as well as rewards, catalysts, abilities and challenges never seen before. On the program, there is also a brand new trade card, a new Companion and a new solar system to explore.

Version 1.0 of Everspace 2 will be available on PC and in particular in the PC Game Pass from April 6, while the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 release is planned for this summer.
