Changes of course, reboots, different approaches and remakes mark the trajectory of the series Evil Dead. Known in Brazil as The Demon’s Death (or sometimes A crazy night), the franchise created by Sam Raimi (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) marked the horror genre, bringing a mixture of creativity, demonic possession, unusual camera angles and an absurd mixture of horror and comedy.
Ash Williams, the main character played by Bruce Campbell (Ash Vs. The Evil Dead), is a landmark of the genre, but it does not always lead the films. By taking the ham Ash to the Middle Ages, Raimi left aside the terror that enshrined him to bet on a more slapstick approach. In a decrepit building in downtown Los Angeles, we find a family with serious relationship problems, which ends up being torn apart by the Book of the Dead, revealed after an earthquake.
the possessions of Demon Death: The Ascension begin after one of the sons of a tattoo artist and single mother reproduces the words of evil resurgence from an old vinyl. What ensues is a fight for survival, filled with blood and body parts, as Beth (Lily Sullivan) tries to stop her nephews from turning, while dealing with personal drama.

After working with a group of friends, including Campbell himself, Raimi is given an extremely limited budget to shoot his own feature film. Thus was born one of the greatest horror gems of the 1980s, with a group of friends going on a vacation trip to an isolated cabin and coming across the studies of a historian who, unintentionally, woke up evil from the Necronomicon.

The most famous scene in the entire franchise is here, but it represents just one of the many moments that put Evil Dead 2 at the top of the ranking. Alone in a hut where he accidentally woke up the evil of the Necronomicon, and after decapitating and burying his girlfriend, Ash is forced to cut off his own hand where, later, he attaches a chainsaw to face the demons.
One Breathtaking Night 2 mixes the horror of the original with a good dose of humor, supported mainly by Campbell’s acting and mannerisms. The film briefly retells the original story while expanding the plot of the Knowby family, whose patriarch and historian was responsible for finding and waking the demon housed in the Book of the Dead.
