After several successful films and spin-offs, conjuring will become a television series. The news was confirmed by Warner Bros. Discovery this Wednesday (12), during a conference that, among other things, also confirmed the merger of HBO Max and Discovery + into a new streaming platform: Max.
The as-yet-unnamed series will continue the story of the films, focusing not only on horror but also on drama. The first feature conjuring premiered in 2013, directed by James Wan, and has been gaining new films since then.
In addition to three titles under the name conjuringthe universe of the franchise also has Annabelle, Annabelle 2: The Creation of Evil, Annabelle 3: Homecoming, the nun e The Curse of La Llorona.
Conjuring: The Series
The new universe series conjuring The title has yet to be released, nor more details about the synopsis and cast. The main focus of the films is on the characters Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga), a couple of demonologists.
But the films also focus on the Annabelle doll, which gained its own trilogy inspired by real events. In addition to the series, a fourth film with the protagonists of conjuring is also ongoing, concluding the franchise, while The Nun 2 debuts in 2023.
Max has not yet revealed the premiere date of the series from the universe of conjuring.
