James Gunn and Peter Safran provide that DC Universe currently upside down. That Extended Universe (DCEU) will soon be history and will be dated DCU superseded. We don’t yet know exactly what the future of superheroes will look like. Only minor details are now known. For example, it is now clear that Henry Cavill is not there as Superman – although his comeback was last hinted at in Black Adam.
Young Superman is in focus
In the DCU, the story is supposed to be something younger Clark Kent be told. It’s not supposed to be an origin story though. Recently, however, one attracted the attention of the fans tweet by James Gunn. The filmmaker dealt with “All Star Superman” – a popular DC comics series that ran for 12 issues between 2005 and 2008. Is there perhaps the first preview of Superman in the upcoming DCU?
Superman on the way to the sun? (Spoiler alert!)
In short, in the All-Star story, Superman rescues Dr. Leo Quintum who have been on their way to the sun. To protect the group, Clark Kent learns the ability to project his bioelectric aura – unaware of the dramatic consequences. according to dr He only has one year left with Lego Quintum. Superman must now use this time to complete the last remaining missions.
It is about the future of mankind and the following Kryptonians. In the end, he defeats Solaris and saves the sun from destruction. Superman eventually dies – but becomes as solar consciousness an integral part of the sun and takes care of its preservation. It would definitely make for an interesting story here, with Superman standing over the DCU in a very different role. So far, it is of course unclear whether this will actually happen. It will probably be some time before James Gunn reveals the secret.
