This Monday, January 2, 4 weddings for a honeymoon is making a comeback as an unreleased version on TFX. For its twelfth year on the airthe show gets a makeover, notably with changes during the final of the competition. Élodie Villemus, the wedding planner who has embodied the program since 2019 will have the difficult task of welcoming the candidates to explain to them this revisited outcome. From now on, exit the husbands and the settling of accounts on the steps! The judge brides, seated around a head table, discover together their ceremonies, the notes of each one and their comments sometimes without detours. To preserve the suspense of the winner until the end, Élodie Villemus, whose notes are revealed during the viewing, will come to give the one on the wedding dress at the end of the program. And these are not the only novelties of this season! For Tele-Leisurethe wedding expert (who married at just 23!) tells us more about what awaits us.

“I was asking myself some questions when I was presented with the new final”

Tele-Leisure : What was your reaction when you discovered this revisited finale?

Elodie Villemus : I was asking myself some questions when I was presented with the new finale because we know that Friday is highly anticipated on this show and I was afraid that we would destabilize the viewers. But at the end of the first shoot, I went to the production team and told them “Wow, I didn’t expect that“.

What do you think these changes bring to the show?

The interactions of each other are instantaneous, it’s very spontaneous and it gives a new color to the program… whether in agreement or disagreement! There were a lot of emotions and very deep things that came out. I find that communication is more enhanced with this new format and it’s doubly more pleasant to watch..

What else is planned this season?

I attended all the weddings on a special week. I criss-crossed France and even Belgium. It was a roller coaster, customs and rituals with completely different approaches from one ceremony to another. I loved it because I experienced from the inside what judge brides go through, and I discovered weddings that myself as a professional, I had never organized.

Can you reveal to us one of the moments that marked you the most in this burst of episodes?

It was precisely during this special week. Me who follows very anti-game during weddings because I find it a bit easy, I found myself playing the 12 month game. The principle is to get objects that begin with a letter as quickly as possible. I don’t like to lose, so you will discover my competitive side!

Is this season also synonymous with a return to normal after the difficulties linked to Covid-19?

It’s true that we were one of the most impacted programs. When this Covid fell, we were deprived of the possibility of celebrating love freely, so when we were allowed to resume weddings, it was more than a relief, a release! Finally, we were free to be able to start making people happy again. Few shows have this intensity so I was happy to go back.
