After six years of good and loyal service, Pascal de Sutter draws a positive conclusion from his collaboration with Married at first sight. “It taught me a lot. It was very rich. I realized how single people in France today really need help“, he confided to us. And to add: “What has often saddened me in the show is when we put together people who we see well matched, that they themselves recognize it and that they completely sabotage the process because they are still hanging around psychological pans from their previous relationships. It motivates me to help them. On the show, you couldn’t really do that. We couldn’t do a long coaching before even starting. It would have been almost a therapy, it was not possible. In addition, we wanted authenticity in the emotions. There was a frustration on my part that I couldn’t help all those rowing singles.”
