Antoine : There was intense emotion, joy, and I finished the show squatting on the ground, I was so upset. We didn’t get over it the days that followed either and as I speak to you, I’m still in shock to have made so much money in a show that lasted 40 minutes.
Did you imagine yourself winning the 100,000 euros?
No way. For us, the goal was to have fun and we said to ourselves if we go to the final, it’s extraordinary. With 1500 euros, we had planned to all go to the restaurant and that suited us very well.
How much have you won on previous game shows you’ve participated in?
17,000 euros to 12 strokes of noonand 10,000 euros to Joker (presented by Olivier MemoryEd). I also participated in TV games in Belgium but I won lesser sums.
How do you feel about having broken a record unmatched in more than ten years?
We are happy and proud because we just came there to have a good time. But we must remain modest, because we are not in the case of an athlete who would have trained to get there. Luck comes into play.

Why did you want to participate in A gold family ?
I am a fan of game shows. We registered for the first time in 2020. The problem is that I had another overlapping show, Joker. So, I had to cancel much to the dismay of my family. We tried casting again three years later and this time it worked.
Why was your family so disappointed?
Because it’s a legendary game in Belgium, we followed the years of Patrick Roy then Christophe Dechavanne (the former presenters of the game, editor’s note)… And above all, it’s one of the rare shows that we can experience together and which will leave us with great family memories.

Was this the case for Camille Combal?
He already looked great on TV, but after seeing him, I can confirm that. I was expecting to see someone a little stressed, but he arrived with his hair wild and spoke to us as if we knew each other well. telling us: “Sorry, guys, really, I’m tired”. And then during the show, he even told us to invite him to our wedding with Jane. He is really very nice.
Did you train for A gold family ?
No way ! We really went there in a cool way! In addition, it seemed impossible to revise on a show like this, which is not general knowledge.
What are you going to do with your winnings?
There were five of us but there was Jane’s brother who was present, as a backup in case of problems. The sum will be divided between all of us equally. For my part, I’m getting married in July and we were thinking of taking out a loan from the bank to tie up the budget and there, an enormous weight is lifted. We will also have fun because it’s money falling from the sky… We’ll think about it with a clear head.
