During the stay at Steinsjøen gård, there has been a lot of drama and intrigue. Sparks have mainly arisen between the female and male participants.

The debate about what constitutes “men’s” and “women’s work” is a recurring theme this season.

Recycling influencer Ingrid Vik Lysne (31) is one of this year’s promoters. She reacted particularly to the division of labor inside the farm.

– The most important thing is to run the farm, but I and several of the girls probably experienced that we were underestimated, says Lysne.

– A distinction was made between “men’s” and “women’s work”, and “our” tasks were seen as less important. It probably became fertile ground for a lot of frustration.

– Every little thing

Influencer Ida Wulff (30) is one of those who have reacted to the arguments about women’s struggle and gender distribution on the farm.

The influencer posted a video on Instagram where she makes a humorous jab at this year’s Farmen celebrity girls.

– No women’s match is too small! Remember to eat as many crisps as the man today, so it won’t be unfair, writes the influencer under the video.

In the comments section, Wulff has received several positive feedbacks. Several react with laughter and praise, applauding the influencer for making the video. A user writes that she has felt ashamed of the “women’s battle” in this year’s season of Farmen kendis.

– Spot on! It’s good that there are more people than me who think the women’s fight at Farmen is downright foolish, writes another.

To Good evening Norway, Wulff tells that she decided to make the video when she was completely “excited” by watching this year’s season.

– Every little trifle turns into a women’s fight. Based on what we see on the screen, I don’t think the girls in there treat the boys very well, says Wulff.

– With the video I posted, I guess with humor and in my own style I try to say that feminism is not about “hating” men, or making it difficult for men to participate socially or in working life. Feminism is about equality and justice for all.

After the influencer posted the video, she says that there are several people who agree with her thoughts about this year’s season of Farmen celebrity.

– I have received exclusively positive feedback. I was actually prepared for a little bit of banter, but it seems that many people have thought the same thoughts as me when they have watched this year’s season.

No Farmen without smuggling? This year, several celebrities have brought private belongings into the farm, despite the fact that it is not allowed. See video below:

– So what the hell?

Influencer Malin Nesvoll (32) is one of this year’s Farmen celebrity participants. At the beginning of week four, Nesvoll had to withdraw from the competition due to health problems.

The Farmen participant reacts to Wulff’s video with a smile.

– The video was spot on! I chuckled and laughed when I saw it, it couldn’t have been more right.

However, she does not agree with Wulff’s statement that the girls did not treat the boys well.

– Oh yes. Fuck father. I disagree with that. We were so dutiful and kind. After all, what you watch on TV is when it bubbles over with an awful lot of stuff, says the influencer.

Nesvoll says that living in 1923 was demanding and not something the influencer wants to return to. Not only should the celebrities work and live as in 1923, but also the gender distribution should have been the same as 100 years ago.

– I was actually a little surprised at how quickly we slipped into those roles there. We were really supposed to live in 1923. It was extremely annoying – I don’t want to live there.

Do you recognize yourself in how the women’s struggle and gender distribution have been portrayed on TV?

– If I recognize myself, yes? Guaranteed. It was so sickly provocative to feel that the boys don’t see the girls’ potential.

– I was in the forge, and I forged bolts. So what the hell? What more is needed to convince you that you can give us your trust? And it’s annoying just that I’m saying it now, that I’m asking for permission to gain trust. But they took so much power in there. They just took that place. It was extremely provocative.

Although tears flowed when she left the other tenants, today she is glad that she went home when she had to.

– I went out in the count’s time. I’m so glad I left before “shit hit the fan”, so to speak.

Marit believes that Ørnulf’s delegation of tasks on the farm shows a male chauvinistic attitude. See video below:

– Many things that built up over time

Lysne has also obtained the video in which Wulff parodies this year’s female Farmen participants. The 31-year-old tells God kveld Norge that she laughed when she first saw the video.

– I actually thought it was very funny, and wanted to write “haha”, but then I thought “wait, this is making fun of me”, she reflects.

Lysne says she has had to go a couple of extra laps with herself to assess whether she did the right thing on the farm.

– What is broadcast on TV is a product for the viewers. It is something else to be there, and what is difficult is to bring out the totality of all the small incidents that made us (the girls, journ.anmm) so frustrated.

The recycling influencer says that there were several things that built up over time. Among other things, the distribution of work tasks, but also how the girls were treated around the dining table.

– We experienced not being able to attend, because only the men spoke. There were a lot of things that build up over time, and which made us irritated, she says.

– On TV, maybe one out of ten things comes up, and then it obviously seems inflated.

Lysne points out that there is a pleasant atmosphere between the participants today, and claims that they resolved the conflicts while they were still at Steinsjøen farm.

– I think you shouldn’t be so afraid to argue, and we weren’t in there either. We have agreed to be a little different and disagree all together.

Gets support from women

Ørnulf Høyer is one of this year’s contractors who has ended up in a number of confrontations with the female participants.

In a message to Good evening Norway, he writes that he was not aware that the female participants talked so much about this, and only became aware of it after he had seen the episodes in question.

– They stirred up both themselves and each other in order to legitimize being able to create customized fighting cases, and I think this mainly comes from the fact that they were on TV.

Høyer says that he was completely “flabbergasted” after he saw the episodes, and believes that several of the accusations are based on flimsy foundations.

– And there are clearly and fortunately many people who have been annoyed by that: I have received massive support, and especially from women.

– The message is clear. Here it is not the woman who is violated. It is the man, claims Høyer.

In the message to God kveld Norge, Høyer writes that he is grateful that so many people speak up to support him and the other male tenants on the farm.

– It is simply incredibly cool that so many people are speaking up, as a healthy counterbalance to an emerging culture of offense that is starting to become very unhealthy, he writes.

Ørnulf Høyer has previously spoken about the drama that arose between him and the female participants. See video below:
