The Directorate General of Customs issued a press release on Wednesday announcing measures to facilitate customs procedures for travelers at ferry terminals, airports and border crossings.

These measures have been taken in anticipation of the next summer season and aim to guarantee the best reception conditions for travelers and Algerian nationals in particular.

Measurements include a reduction in processing times for transit procedures for travelers, allocation of special lanes for families, the sick, the elderly and people with special needsand the activation of reception and orientation cells in customs interests.

Customs has also activated customs navigation teams to accompany travelers at sea and reduces customs processing times for vehicles.

In addition, the General Directorate of Customs has created a special section on its website for travelers, where they can find all relevant information, including the possibility of subscribing to the customs transit document electronically and download customs forms.

Customs has also activated an electronic complaint application et social media accounts to communicate with travellers, as well as a direct telephone line for traveler information during the summer season.

100 Algerian pilgrims abandoned in Saudi Arabia: the Ministry of Tourism reacts

The Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts responded to the distress call of a hundred Algerian pilgrims abandoned in Saudi Arabia by their travel agency.

Following the intervention of the Algerian Consumer Protection Organization, which warned of the humiliating fate of these pilgrims expelled from their place of residencethe ministry has decided to take steps to clear up this matter.

The Organization notably pointed the finger at the recklessness of certain Saudi officials in the face of the situation and called on the Ministry of Tourism and the national office of Hajj and Umrah to intervene.
