Family is practically homeless after fire that destroyed their home

The home of the Garza family, in the City of San Juan, was consumed by flames this past Saturday, leaving them practically on the street.

And to the sadness and pain for the loss of material goods is added the death of her kitten during the accident. But within this tragedy, the family is grateful.

Especially with one of their neighbors, who was the one who alerted them that the house was engulfed in flames.
Everything in the house was reduced to ashes.

The fire occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the house located on the corner of Chula Vista and Santa Ana streets.

As María del Socorro Garza explained, upon realizing what was happening, one of her neighbors came to the house and warned them. “That we get out. That the back was on fire,” María recalled the person telling her.

Thanks to this neighbor, everyone in the house was able to get out safely, with the exception of the pet that died. “If it hadn’t been for my daughter, that she was in the room… she was an angel,” added the woman, visibly moved by what she is going through. “Daddy God put him in our way,” she said.

On Saturday the firefighters arrived at the place to put out the flames and it took about an hour, since the wind was very strong and this made work difficult.

The solidarity of the community begins to be seen since some people have passed by the place to give them a donation. A cymbal sale is even being planned. If you want to cooperate with them you can call (956) 688-7374.
