The comedian announced at the world premiere of Fast & Furious X in Rome that the story would not be divided into two films, as originally planned, but into three feature films.

“When we started making this film, the studio asked us if it could be in two parts”, said Vin Diesel. “But after the studio saw the film, they asked us if Fast Xthe last part of our saga, could be a trilogy.”

“Each story has three acts,” said Michelle Rodriguez, another figure in the franchise. Relaunched on this third film, Vin Diesel refused to say more: “You are going to cause me problems.”

Next in two years

A surprise guest at CinemaCon in Las Vegas last month, Vin Diesel revealed that the sequel to Fast X would be in theaters in two years: “After this explosive summer, I have the privilege of coming back to see you in 2025 with the second part”, he had promised.

Contacted to replace at short notice the original director of Fast & Furious X, Louis Leterrier stack up for this sequel. Expected May 17 at the cinema, Fast & Furious X takes place right after the events of Fast and Furious 9.
