Pep Guardiola has commented on João Cancelo’s move to Bayern Munich. During today’s press conference, the star coach said: “First of all, I wish him all the best for his four months at Bayern. I don’t know what will happen next season.”
Cancelo has been loaned to Munich until the end of the season. For the connection, Bayern have a purchase option for 70 million euros. With all the quality, quite a bit of money for a 29-year-old full-back who, according to Guardiola, has a “incredible figure” in the last two English league titles.
“Cancelo wants to play every game”
The ex-Bayern coach specified: “In recent years he has been one of the players with the most minutes at Manchester City. He has to play to be happy. So we decided to let him go to Munich. He wants to play every single game and hopefully he can do that in Munich.”
