The Argentine tennis player Federico Coria was eliminated from the ATP 250 of Banja Luka, in Bosnia, after losing today in the initial round with the Moldovan Radu Albot by 6-4 and retirement due to physical discomfort.

Coria, born in Rosario and ranked 76 in the ATP world ranking, lost to Albot (110th), who emerged from the rankings, after 56 minutes of play when he made the decision to retire.

The 31-year-old from Rosario accentuated his physical problems on the European tour, since since his access to the final in Córdoba last February (he lost to Sebastián Báez) he missed the tournaments in Rio de Janeiro, Santiago, Marrakech, Monte Carlo and now he had to retire in the first round of Banja Luka.

The tournament, which is played on clay, has Serbian Novak Djokovic, number one in the world, as the top favorite for the title.

Djokovic (1st) entered the tournament directly in the round of 16, where he will debut against Frenchman Luca Van Assche (88th).
