A fire that was reported early this Monday morning in a Hialeah residential building was attended to by the city firefighters, while several people were seen leaving the building.
This is the Westland 49 apartment building for rent, located at 1333 49 Place, west of Hialeah.
The smoke coming from inside the building could be seen in the images of Telemundo 51 while some residents left in a hurry through the main door of the condominium.
The firefighters have not given an official report of what happened but one of the residents told Telemundo 51 that it was a fire in one of the apartments. “The alarm sounded and fire was running in the apartment below us. Everyone was evacuated and here we are waiting for everything to be resolved and that we can get up in time to go to work,” said Elwin Roque.
Firefighters have not yet offered official information on this incident.
