He killed him out of jealousy and fled: a crime fugitive in New York is caught in another state three years later

Abdul Olasupo was arrested in South Carolina and brought back to New York where he had been wanted for three years as a suspect in the murder of ex-con Kaseem Scott (25), his alleged love rival, in a warehouse on Staten Island.

The shooting, which occurred on the night of July 22, 2020, at the “Holland Deli” in the Arlington neighborhood, was captured by a security camera. It is recommended caution when watching the videoeither.

The two men were apparently arguing over a woman when the shooting occurred, a police source said. Three years later Olasupo (26) was arrested and accused of Manslaughter, Reckless Endangerment, and Attempted Murder of a Store Customerreported Daily News.

After a three-year manhunt, members of the New York Police Department’s Regional Fugitive Task Force found Olasupo hiding in South Carolina in mid-July, the NYPD said in notifying that he had been extradited earlier this week.

He was ordered held without bail when he was arraigned in Staten Island Criminal Court on Wednesday afternoon. All charges are mere accusations and those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Scott had survived a shooting in February 2017 at the Touch Gentlemen’s Club on Victory Blvd. and was arrested after police found a gun at his home. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four years in prison.
