File – Small inventory of the Homebrew scene

Confined to an environment of enthusiasts for twenty years, the homebrew scene is gradually becoming known to the general public thanks to the rise of retrogaming, of which it is undoubtedly one of the most pleasant faces. Indeed, in the midst of scandals linked to speculation on the prices of classics, and Chinese consoles containing thousands of illegally stored ROMs, it is gratifying to still see amateurs creating new games for our old bikes… Well that they are almost always made in a very artisanal way, even when they are the subject of beautiful old-fashioned physical editions, they generally generate no profit for their authors, except the pride of seeing their creations on the shelves of other fans. But since its beginnings in the mid-1990s, this community has progressed a lot and has even become a little more professional, for better and sometimes for worse. We therefore offer you an inventory of the homebrew scene in all its diversity and richness.
