Trophies have been leaked PlayStation of the upcoming remake of dead space ahead of the long-awaited release of the horror game. While PlayStation trophy reveals are often exciting on their own, if only to mask the depth of a game’s challenge, there’s something unique about the list of Dead Space Remake.

Fans of the original Dead Space can use the trophy list to compare the new game to the old, see what’s been kept, and see what EA Motive has decided to change and add.

The original Dead Space was known for having a very challenging selection of PlayStation trophies to come by. There are just under 50 trophies, and while most are completion-based, such as completing Dead Space chapters, using weapons, and killing certain types of enemies, there are some difficult and tricky trophies as well.

Especially difficult trophies include beating the game on its hardest difficulty, completing the game using only the Plasma Cutter and no other weapons, and upgrading all weapons and gear. The most difficult trophies include finding the mysterious Peng Treasure and beating level 6 of Zero-G Basketball.

Dead Space Remake’s trophies are largely similar to those in the original game, but with some attention-grabbing changes and additions. For the most part, it seems like the entire narrative progression of Dead Space is the same. Dead Space Remake has all the same chapter-based trophies.

Similarly, most combat trophies are similar, if not identical. The new game removes some of the rarer combat trophies from the original game, instead adding some basics that encourage players to use mechanics like stomping, kinesis, immobilizing enemies, and slashing or ripping off limbs.
