Finally it comes – functions which allows us to use Whatsapp on more than one mobile without having to log out and log in. This is something that has been rumored for more than three years, so to say the feature is highly anticipated would almost be an understatement.

In 2022, Whatsapp rolled out the ability to send messages from your other “companion” devices, but mobile phones were not covered then. Now, however, this becomes possible, and users can link extra mobiles to their main device. The messages are still covered by full-length encryption.

Do not miss: Homework was done – now Whatsapp promises improvement on terms of use

Four devices is still the upper limit for how many people can join your main mobile phone. You can still only add a phone number. If Whatsapp notices that your main mobile is inactive for more than 14 days, you will be automatically logged out of all connected devices.

This is welcome news, not only for those of you who have a mobile phone at work and a private one. The update also benefits the business owner as employees can use the same Whatsapp account to respond to customers.

The update is about to be rolled out in this now. According to Whatsapp, it is expected to be available in all markets within the coming weeks.
