Duisburg-Walsum.
Criminals blew up an ATM in Duisburg-Walsum in July 2022. Now the Volksbank has moved into a container.

The Volksbank Rhein-Ruhr team has moved into temporary quarters in a container in the parking lot of the Netto store on Dr.-Wilhelm-Roelen-Straße in Duisburg-Walsum. There it now offers customers service, advice and access to the lockers again. This has not been possible since the machine was blown up in July 2022 in the Aldenrad branch.

The self-service machines are still missing, which is why cash can still not be paid out. The team around branch manager Manuel Brücker asks the people from Walsum to currently use the cash service of the surrounding supermarkets or the ATMs of the Volksbank branch in Alt-Hamborn.

In the meantime, the reconstruction continues in the branch on Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse. The Volksbank Rehin-Ruhr is still sticking to the goal of reopening the badly damaged branch.
