The Oppo Find X5 is a smartphone that gives an impression of lightness (196g) and finesse (8.7mm) for its size. Its glass back with a satin coating pleasant to the touch is beautiful. It has a sublime 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen, which is capable of displaying great color coverage thanks to its impeccable average delta E. You can also enjoy a 120 Hz refresh rate for a smoother experience.
Once turned over, the X5 reveals a photo module with three sensors: a main sensor and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens as well as a 13-megapixel telephoto lens. There is no microscope like on the Pro version, but this model offers great versatility. The quality is there, so you can capture shots of such good quality. The smartphone will also take video at night thanks to a very efficient mode. As for the front camera, it is 32 megapixels.
Which come with some concessions
On the Find X5, Oppo ignores the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, which equips the Pro version, and offers the Snapdragon 888. Admittedly, it is not the best from Qualcomm, but it has the merit of have better heat management and manages to run demanding games at a satisfying level of graphical detail. Overall, the phone is pleasant to use on a daily basis, especially thanks to its intuitive and fluid interface. It also runs under ColorOS 13, based on Android 13.
As for autonomy, the phone is equipped with a 4,800 mAh battery against 5,000 mAh on the Pro. A slight drop, which has no real consequence since the Find X5 manages to last a full day, or even a little more if you have more moderate use. You can especially count on its fast charge of 80W. During our test, it took about twenty minutes to reach 76% energy. Finally, wireless charging is included (30 W) as well as reverse charging (10 W).
