Because now it’s all about the finishing touches. According to the release notes, AVM fixes a number of minor problems and improves the general stability of the firmware. So it looks like the release for all users can take place shortly.
We have added the update content as an example from the FritzBox 7590AX at the end of this article. More details on the individual innovations and improvements you can find out as always at AVM or in our overview of the new FritzOS.
With the FritzBox 7590, AVM equipped the first device with the new function update a few weeks ago and then updated other FritzBoxes. However, it remains a surprise which FritzBox and which repeater will receive FritzOS 7.50 next. The company has not yet made any concrete announcements.
Installation tips
There is also information about existing problems, if there are any. As always, anyone who is interested and has either bought the devices themselves or uses editions from 1&1 can test them. With routers that have been rented from other providers, the update cannot be carried out manually in most cases. According to AVM, only non-provider-bound models are supported in the beta test. The latest downloads are available for all models on an overview page, where you can also find tips for the initial installation.
