Until 29.01. the show “Der Struwwelpeter – Between Fascination and Children’s Fright” can be seen in the Magdeburg Cultural History Museum. The exhibition shows over 200 exhibits with numerous books and original drawings, films, radio plays, as well as props from the theater and the puppet theater in Magdeburg and many other curiosities. Young and old alike are given an insight into the numerous adaptations of the work and they learn all kinds of things worth knowing about Heinrich Hoffmann and the individual stories from his work, the “Struwwelpeter”.

On Sunday, January 29th the exhibition ends with a special highlight for children and adults. At 3:00 p.m., the Theater am Strom from Hamburg will present its production “Der Böse Struwwelpeter – for cheeky children and their poor parents” in the Kaiser-Otto-Saal. The drama of approx. 60 minutes, accompanied by singing, is suitable for everyone from the age of 8 and interprets the stories of Struwwelpeter in an entertaining way. The regular admission price applies, children up to the age of 18 have free admission. Before that, there will be another curated tour of the exhibition at 11:00 a.m. on the same day.
