Fire in Guyana leaves four dead

San Juan.- Four people, including a child under the age of 12, burned to death in separate house fires in the communities of Linden and Region 2, in Guyana, local authorities reported on Tuesday.

The 12-year-old boy, whose identity authorities have not revealed, died a day after celebrating his birthday, police said.

The minor’s aunt, identified as Cheryl Moore, is another of the victims.

She burned to death at her home in the Silvertown community, in the town of Wismar, in Linden, on Monday night.

The woman’s body was found this Tuesday morning, while they are still looking for the minor’s.

According to the preliminary investigation by the authorities, the fire was caused by a relative of these, who is wanted by the Police.

In the second incident, which occurred in the early hours of this Tuesday, a mother and her son died in their home in Region 2.

The deceased were identified as Sasha La Cruz and her son Isha Wilson.

According to statements from the neighbors, they were raised by shouts of “fire, fire.”

However, when they went to help them, it was already too late.

The cause of the fire is unknown at the moment.
