Netflix has just unveiled a first trailer for a project directed by the artist’s wife, Priscilla Presley, in which the King will be dubbed by comedian Matthew McConaughey.

After a biopic by Baz Luhrmann, Elvis Presley will have the right to an animated series on Netflix. Announced in 2019 by the platform, this program, in which the King trades his life as a singing star for that of a spy, is revealed through a first trailer.

Co-directed by the wife of Elvis, Priscilla Presley and John Eddie, this program tells the adventures of the artist who joins a secret spy program in order to fight the forces of evil threatening the United States.

“Elvis Presley always dreamed of being a superhero. Today Priscilla Presley is making his dream come true,” Netflix said on Twitter.

From the producers of “Spider-Man: Next Generation”

It is the comedian Matthew McConaughey, made famous for his roles in the series True Detective and in the films Interstellar and Dallas Buyers Club, who doubles Elvis Presley, on the screen.

Constable Elvis is produced by Sony Animation Studios, hailed for its work on the hit animated film Spider-Man: Next Generation, released in 2018. The series is expected on Netflix in March 2023 in the United States. For the moment, the platform has not announced a release date in France.
