Flashback, released in 1992, is an action game that marked the history of video games and achieved legendary status by ranking among the top 100 games of all time. This Conrad B. Hart adventure, set in the United Worlds, is threatened by the Morph invasion led by the fearsome General Lazare. With the help of his allies, including his signature AI-powered weapon AISHA, Conrad embarks on an epic quest to save his friend Ian.

In 2021, Flashback 2 was revealed, developed in close collaboration between Paul Cuisset’s team and Microids Studio Lyon. This sequel invites players to discover an all-new story blending action, puzzle and infiltration. The adventure takes place in familiar locations such as Neo Washington or the Jungle, as well as new locations such as Neo Tokyo or a mysterious space station.

To pay homage to the original game and work on this sequel, Paul Cuisset managed to bring back members of the original team such as game designer Thierry Perreau and the composer of the famous Amiga soundtrack, Raphaël Gesqua . To achieve their goal of maintaining the original’s innovative animation, world-renowned stuntman Jamel Blissat was hired to do Conrad B. Hart’s motion capture.

Flashback 2 will be released in November 2023 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC (digital), with collector’s and limited editions available. The limited edition, available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X, will include the game, an exclusive Steelbook, the digital soundtrack of Flashback 2.

The Collector’s Edition, planned for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, will include the complete game, the original Flashback video game in digital version, an 8-inch (20 cm) figure of Conrad, 3 lithographs, an exclusive Steelbook, a unique badge, the digital soundtrack of Flashback 2 and 2 sticker sheets.

Flashback 2 will offer a vibrant sci-fi/cyberpunk universe. Considering the trailer, the platform shooter looks gripping, smooth and intricate with an immersive 3D environment. Designed and developed by the creator of the original, Paul Cuisset, Flashback 2 promise. Here is the trailer:
