Games Done Quick, the world’s largest charity speed running event, has expanded its guidelines for participation to also include a number of games which are henceforth “not allowed”.

This includes titles such as “have content, views, or an origin that we have deemed unsuitable for our stream”and includes anything with an ESRB adult-only rating, anything banned on Twitch, and a bunch of other games — including anything associated with the Harry Potter brand.

This means that despite already being one of the biggest titles of the year, you won’t be seeing Hogwarts Legacy at any GDQ events going forward. This is despite the fact that it is certainly a game that would attract a huge audience and therefore also money. Others on the list include 2005’s God of War and Five Nights at Freddy’s.

GDQ has declared that the list is “non-exhaustive” and that it can be changed “at any time”.

What do you think about this yourself?
