Vueling airline stewards and hostesses based in France will be on strike for at least ten days. This mobilization is planned, in particular, for the next three weekends of school holidays and bridges in France.

Indeed, a strike notice has been filed by the SNPNC-FO. Demanding revaluations and the improvement of working conditions. Vueling’s French cabin crew will therefore be on strike for ten days. And this, from April 21.

Strike notice filed at Vueling: flights to Algeria impacted?

According to the union, the only representative of the French Cabin Crew Members, this notice covers the days April 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30, but also those of May 1, 6,7, 8, 2023. The union said in its press release published Monday, April 17, that this movement will be renewed in May.

This movement points to several causes. Including, a lack of recognition in remuneration, significant changes in schedules, and disconnections and days off not respected. According to the union organizing this strike movement, 90% of cabin crew established in France are ready to stop working during these three weekends. But the organization remains open for negotiations.

As a reminder, the low cost company provides many flights to Algeria. And this, from Spain, but also from Paris in France. Moreover, concerning the impact of this strike on its entire air program departing from France, the airline has not yet communicated information on the consequences of the strike. Remember, the Spanish low cost operates 30 to 40 flights per day from French airports.
