At first glance, according to the of OnLeaks and smart price published CAD renders little, but if you take a closer look, you will be pleasantly surprised. Samsung apparently finally wants to ensure that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 comes without a gap between the two halves of the case. Until now, there was always a small gap between the two halves due to the design, which was due to the fact that Samsung had to maintain a certain minimum folding radius for the main display.

In the meantime, this has probably been brought under control due to more modern production methods and can at least catch up with the growing competition from other manufacturers in this respect. The result is a slightly more compact design, even if the other dimensions indicate that the display size of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 has hardly changed.
Externally only minimal changes
The external display with a diagonal of 6.2 inches should remain practically unchanged. However, previous reports had indicated that Samsung intends to change the aspect ratio slightly. At least the width of the “dent” in the “crease” area could shrink due to the modified design of the hinge, so that the users of the Galaxy Z Fold5 can hope for advantages in terms of the user experience. Samsung has obviously adjusted the design around the camera unit, which is also new. While nothing changes in the arrangement of the three cameras, the flash should apparently move. It’s moved next to the top camera, suggesting new sensors and suggesting that Samsung has made more changes to the internal layout of the Galaxy Z Fold 5’s components than meets the eye from the outside.
The presentation of Samsung’s new folding flagship should take place towards the end of July, as was recently heard in some preliminary reports. At the next big Samsung Unpacked event, the new tablets of the Galaxy Tab S9 series, the new Galaxy Watch 6 series of smartwatches and new true wireless will in all likelihood be presented in addition to the Z Fold 5 and its cheaper sister model, the Galaxy Z Flip5 -Earbuds from Samsung will be presented.
