Big and small helped free of charge with the landscape cleaning in Bildstein.
The municipal area in the Hofsteig municipality of Bildstein is a little cleaner again: the participants in this year’s landscape cleaning collected a few kilograms of waste, from empty cans and carelessly scattered paper bags to cigarette packets thrown out of cars. Equipped with gloves and garbage bags, the groups distributed themselves to the individual plots, where they were chauffeured in the fire engine and the municipal transporter. Irene Niederacher led the municipality’s environmental committee and the building yard team with Benni Schwendinger and Hubert Hopfner had a small snack in the fire station. “It’s gratifying that generally less rubbish was found than in previous years,” said the organizing team and Mayor Walter Moosbrugger. “A large part of the guests and the population has apparently developed a good awareness of this.” And of course, unteachable individual cases – which are recognizable by the same cans and bags – unfortunately there will always be.
