For the first time Luna Park will remain open in winter

An amusement park in Brooklyn that is normally closed in November and December due to cold weather will be open for a few weeks starting Saturday for its first event called “Frost Fest.”

Organizers say that for the first time since the late 19th century, when the park began, Luna Park in Coney Island will operate attractions during the winter.

As part of the experience, visitors will be able to ice skate on the Coney Island boardwalk, shop at a local Christmas market, and enjoy some winter treats like hot chocolate and chili.

Remember that you can also ride attractions such as the iconic Cyclone roller coaster.

The inaugural “Frost Fest” runs through Jan. 7 and tickets range from $25 to $45.
